England team news leaked: Bukayo Saka keeps his spot as Gareth Southgate makes tactical switch

The Athletic have provided some early team news ahead of England v Germany – and there’s several talking points.

Gareth Southgate’s men taking on the Germans at Wembley for a place in the Euro 2020 quarter-finals.

It’s a game of extraordinary magnitude, he needs to get his team selection right.

As per The Athletic, Arsenal teenager Bukayo Saka is set to keep his place after his positive performance against the Czech Republic last time out.

With Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane also set to start, Jack Grealish, Mason Mount and Phil Foden will all likely be among the substitutes.

Phil Foden looks set to miss out for England against Germany

The Telegraph have provided further insight, revealing that England will revert to the back three which served them so well at the World Cup in Russia.

Kieran Tripper and Luke Shaw are to start at wing-back, with Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire and John Stones making up the back three.

It’s impressive that the England camp have managed to leak virtually their entire starting eleven ahead of such a momentous occasion.
