Gareth Southgate’s provisional 33-man England squad for the European Championships has been announced.
The Three Lions reached the semi-final of the World Cup in the previous major international tournament, with the likes of Phil Foden, Mason Mount and more establishing themselves since.
England will feel as though they have a legitimate chance of going all the way at the Euros this summer, which puts plenty of pressure on manager Gareth Southgate, to has to get his selections right.
While Southgate has delayed the selection of his final squad, he has named a 33-man provisional squad, which contrary to recent suggestion, does include Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander Arnold.

The likes of Trent, Jude Bellingham, Mason Greenwood and others will be delighted to have their names down, but will be well aware that the chances of them being cut for the final squad are high.
Southgate is unlikely to tinker with the squad he named over the last international break, which means that several fan-favourites have a real chance of being left behind.
