Remember Duane Vermeulen the man of the match in the World Cup final for the Springboks in their win over England in Japan in 2019, well here he is playing for the Blue Bulls against the Golden Lions in the Semi Final of the Currie Cup, traditionally a massive cup tournament in the rugby calendar in South Africa, the Blue Bulls defeated the Golden Lions 22-15 to reach the final but the talking point was how good Duane Vermeulen was again, just watch him carry this ball and smashing through two defenders.

The Springboks will be hoping to Duane Vermeule in this prime for the ‘hopefully’ Lions tour this summer in South Africa, Vermeule is now 34 but is playing the best rugby of his career and if South African are to beat the British and Irish Lions in the summer they will be hoping to have him at his very best again.
