Rapper Drake lost $275k on Saturday night after punting on Jorge Masvidal to beat Colby Covington at UFC 272.
Drake is a BIG fan of combat sports and has previously shared the sizeable bets that he’s placed on his friends within both the boxing and MMA worlds. He clearly has a lot of faith in Jorge Masvidal – misplaced faith, that is.
As is reported by The Sun, Drake placed a $275k bet on Masvidal defeating former trainer partner Covington when the pair met in the octagon in the main event of UFC 272 on Saturday night.
With Masvidal having fallen to a unanimous decision defeat to Covington, who was the FAR superior fighter over the course of the contest, Drake is waking up today having lost over a quarter of a million dollars.

Granted, Drake’s immense wealth makes $275k look like a drop in the ocean, but no matter how rich you are, there’s no way that you’re not going to be absolutely fuming to have lost that amount of cash.
With Masvidal now having lost three consecutive fights in the UFC, you wonder if Drake will consider there to be any value in punting his cash on the fighter any longer…
