Leon Edwards and Colby Covington headlined the UFC 296 card tonight.
Edwards was defending his Welterweight title for the second time having won it in some style against Kamaru Usman.
The build-up to the fight had been unsavoury from Colby Covington who had made a vile joke about Edwards’ late father who was killled in a London nightclub.
Unsurprisingly the pair didn’t touch gloves.
The Champion landed a nice left hook in the opening round and was precise if not spectacular in the second round also.

The pair traded takedowns in round 3 with Edwards seemingly wanting to play Covington at his own game.
Covington managed to land a takedown in round 5 and the pair went the distance in an uneventful fight.
Edwards retains the title via decision:
All judges scored the bout 49-46.
