Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to Instagram to reflect on a rollercoaster of a season with Juventus – but is it a goodbye?
As is reported by Sky Sports, Ronaldo’s future as a Juventus player is far from certain. Even with the Italian giants having secured Champions League qualification, it’s no guarantee that he’ll be at the club come the start of next season.
Having Ronaldo on their books is one of Juventus’ greatest expenses, and the question needs to be asked, with the Old Lady in dire need of a rebuild, is paying one player £52M-a-year (as per Sky Sports) good business?

That’ll need to be determined by whoever it is pulling the strings at Juventus in a few months time, but of course, Ronaldo’s preference, whether it be to stay or go, will also need to come under consideration.
The Portuguese icon has taken to Instagram to potentially offer some insight into his thoughts and feelings, and while you do get the impression of Ronaldo’s defiance in wake of a difficult season, is there not also a bit of ‘mission accomplished’?

Ronaldo has now achieved virtually all he can in Turin, barring the Champions League, but it’s difficult to see Juventus challenging for European glory any time before the forward is in his 40s.
He’s ticked virtually every box in terms of Italian football, with the Capocannoniere the latest award in his cabinet. Is now the time for Ronaldo to seek one final challenge before hanging up his boots?
