Jesus Christ, you are seriously offering a greyhound pup as a prize?
A pup as a prize…are ye fucking insane!!!!! The most stupid, uneducated prize to give out. Cop on and don’t use dogs or any animal as a prize
There not prizes !! You have to bid on the 5 offerings on the left …. leave the greyhound people bid away on the valuable greyhound pup and the gaa people and Rest of public bid away on the tickets and jersey’s… the €10 tickets is for entry to the dogs on the night and be in a buster …

  1. Thanks for sharing the post. Just to clarify a few things for anyone unfamiliar with how an auction works:

The greyhound pup being auctioned will only go to a registered and responsible individual within the greyhound racing community – not to a random member of the public. These are experienced owners who are committed to the proper care, training, and lifelong welfare of the animals.

This process is standard within the sport, and any transfer is in line with Irish Greyhound Board (Rásaíocht Con Éireann) guidelines. The breeder is reputable, and the future owner will be subject to the same welfare oversight and traceability measures that are in place for all greyhounds in Ireland.

Welfare is absolutely central – we would never support or promote anything that risks an animal’s wellbeing. Greyhounds are cared for under strict welfare codes, and ownership is not taken lightly.
