Antonio Conte set to leave Inter Milan – in what could be brilliant news for Chelsea

According to the Gazzetta, Antonio Conte is set to depart Inter Milan – and it could have implications for Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku.

Conte has done a quite outstanding job with Inter, ending their 11-year wait for a scudetto. However, his time at the San Siro could soon be coming to an end.

The Gazzetta report that after disagreements with the club’s board, Conte is set to leave Inter by mutual termination, a year before his contract was due to expire.

The Italian publication note that could push players such as Achraf Hakimi, Lautaro Martinez, and perhaps most significantly, Romelu Lukaku, towards the exit door.

The Telegraph‘s Matt Law has previously mentioned Lukaku as a primary target for Chelsea, with the Blues desperately looking to sign a striker this summer.

Chelsea secured a fourth-place finish with Jorginho being their top scorer, having netted seven penalties. Imagine what they could do with Lukaku leading their line…
