When the news broke that UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor had retired from fighting, the world went into a frenzy of speculation, conspiracies and guessing.

Not long after, UFC President Dana White said the company pulled Conor McGregor from his UFC 200 main event clash with Nate Diaz after the Irishman refused to attend a press-conference.
Now, a reputable reporter out of Europe is reporting he has had an open dialogue with an immediate family member of McGregor who says people should take the news at face value.
