Chelsea are reportedly considering an ambitious move for Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah.
Chelsea were the club that initially brought Salah to England, having acquired him from Swiss outfit FC Basel.
Despite showing flashes of quality in a Chelsea shirt, the Egyptian was considered too raw and unrefined. He was subsequently sold to AS Roma.
The rest is history, with Salah arguably being the best player on the planet right now.
While you’d have thought that Liverpool would bend over backwards to keep him at Anfield, there has been growing uncertainty over Salah signing a new contract.
His current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2023, which could force Liverpool into selling him this summer, should they be unable to reach an agreement.

According to reports, Chelsea are waiting in the wings to rectify their earlier mistake and make an ambitious move to snag Salah from Liverpool.
It remains to be seen how much Chelsea would have to offer Liverpool to tempt them into selling to a direct rival, but regardless, it seems highly improbable.
