Carra and Neville have compiled a list of the five greatest signings in the Premier League era when on Monday Night Football, they have taken into the account the price thatw as paid and the impact the player has had on the club with these five topping the charts.

Alan Shearer was picked for his signing from Southampton to Blackburn in 1992 for £3.6m and Shearer went on to be one of the Premier League greats.

Eric Cantona was then picked for his move from Leeds to Manchester United where he became a Manchester United hero and legend.

Thierry Henry’s transfer to Arsenal from Juventus from Juventus for £10.5m is there for his first spell at the club where he became an invincible.

Vincent Kompany’s move from Hamburg to Man City is on the list as well as his leadership in the dressing room was instrumental in their multiple title wins.

Jamie Vardy is then arguably the greatest signing in Premier League history as he was picked up for just £1m by Leicester City and then won them a title with his record breaking season.
