A video has emerged of Caleb Plant talking to opponent Canelo Alvarez in the ring on Saturday night.
Plant headed into the bout as an undefeated super middleweight world champion. Needless to say, that’s no longer the case after he met Canelo in the ring.
Canelo is regarded by many as the pound-for-pound number one in the sport at the moment. He’s the kind of fighter you can’t take your eye off for even a second.
It’s for that reason that Plant’s decision to have a conversation with the Mexican in the middle of the ninth round was a rather puzzling one – yet, it happened…

The fans within the arena weren’t overly impressed, with boos ringing around as the two fighters refused to engage and instead opted to chat with one another.
Perhaps it was tactical from Plant, an attempt to get Canelo to bring his guard down. It didn’t work, with the now undisputed super middleweight champion having finished the contest two rounds later…
