Ben Davies full of praise for Harry Kane ahead of Wales vs England clash

It hasn’t been the greatest World Cup campaign for Wales so far, but the Dragons have a small shot at redemption on Tuesday evening, as they face England, needing a win to keep their tournament hopes alive.

Right now, they’re hanging by a thread as they sit bottom of Group B and the Wales defence will need to be on top form to stop the likes of Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling, who will be looking to improve on their poor performance against the USA.

One matchup that could be interesting is Kane vs Ben Davies, as the two Tottenham team mates prepare to do battle for their nations.

Speaking to TalksportTalksportTalksportTalksport TalkSport, Davies complemented his fellow clubmate, saying he is one of the top players on the planet.

Harry is one of the best strikers in the world right now. I think his performance levels in the last few years has been top class.

There aren’t too many players better at putting it in the back of the net than him.”

When asked whether he had spoken to Kane before coming out to Qatar, Davies was tight-lipped, saying they knew what each of them would be up against.

Nothing too major, we both knew it was the last game of the group and anything could be up for grabs.”

Wales and England kick off on Tuesday evening at 19:00 BST.
