Cristiano Ronaldo ‘offered to Barcelona’ as Manchester United struggles continue

Barcelona are reportedly set to be offered the opportunity to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United this summer.

Ronaldo re-signed for Man United from Juventus over the summer. It was billed as a dream homecoming for a player who launched his career at Old Trafford and went on to establish himself as one of the finest in history.

However, not all has gone to plan for Ronaldo and Man United this campaign, with the side who intended to compete for the Premier League title under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now set for a top four scrap under Ralf Rangnick.

You could forgive Ronaldo if he wanted to spend the latter years of his career challenging for silverware, rather than competing in the Europa League or even worse. It’s no surprise that exit speculation is beginning to intensify.

According to Fichajes, should Barcelona be unsuccessful in their attempts to land Erling Haaland this summer, Joan Laporta could consider the possibility of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to the Nou Camp.

Ronaldo, who is a Real Madrid legend, is understood to have been offered to Barcelona by agent Jorge Mendes. You have to take it with a pinch of salt, of course, but can you imagine the scenes if it came to fruition?
