Axel Tuanzebe suffers even more racist abuse on social media after draw

Manchester United were victim to an injury time goal last night and fans were clearly frustrated after the team threw away a two goal lead but the abuse they directed towards 23 year old Axel Tuanzebe is completely unacceptable and vile.

United went one goal up as Cavani head the ball into the back of the Everton net in the 24th minute before Bruno Fernandes pulled off a moment of pure brilliance as he chipped the keeper from outside of the box with no build up.

It seemed like Manchester United were cruising and went into half time with a clear lead but it was Everton that came out swinging in the second half.

James Rodriguez and Doucoure scored in the space of three minutes after the break to make it two all and an even game. A goal from Scott McTominay in the 70th minute put United back in the lead and the game seemed over.

Ole subbed on Axel in the dying minutes to kill time and switch to a five at the back formation and when Everton attempted a counter attack deep into injury time he fouled Josh King at the half way line and received a yellow card.

The Everton goalkeeper came up for the free-kick as Lucas Digne swung in a cross that ricocheted off of Michael Keane and Calvert-Lewin got on the end of it to put it past De Gea.

The game finished 3-3 and Ole seemed shuck to the core after he was expecting an easy three points.

After the game Axel received vile comments on his Instagram account which consisted mainly of emojis that were targeted at him because of his race.

When will social media companies do something to stop this? This is the second time in 10 days that Axel has received abuse and there seems to be no deterrent.
