Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has tested positive for Covid-19 just days ahead of the African Cup of Nations. The Gabon striker has been left out of the Arsenal squad and stripped of the captaincy after crossing the line with Gunners manager Mikel Arteta. This is really the wrong time for the former Borussia Dortmund striker to get Covid as the AFCON of nations presented a massive opportuity for him to show that he is still very much a top class striker.

We wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully he can feature at some stage in the AFCON for Gabon.
