Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko shared one of best fights in recent times.
The heavyweights collided at Wembley stadium in 2017 trading blows and knockdowns and the bout was awarded the prestigious Ring Magazine fight of the year award.
Joshua would come through the biggest test of his career at that point when he was heavily dropped and looking gassed.
Somehow he carried on and got a second wind and became the first man to stop the Ukrainian giant since 2004.
Speaking with Mike Costello for Matchroom Boxing, Joshua explained exactly what he learnt from that bruising encounter.
He said: “What I learned after this fight is that there are levels. This guy [Klitschko] is the first guy who ever took me to 11 rounds and obviously he had the pedigree to be in that position to do that.
“For me, I’ve always said that I need to be a cut above the rest, so I went away to improve, change my style and so forth… and it has brought me to where I am today you know. That fight is the fight that brought to this point here and big-time boxing is back.”
Next up for the former champion is a huge clash with Francis Ngannou on March 8th.
