Who will Make the Top Four?

Posted by

It’s all to play for in the race for the top four with seven games to go for all the sides involved in the race, including Leicester City, Chelsea, West Ham and Liverpool with only a point or two separating all the teams. Leicester City and West Ham are the two currently in third and fourth spot in the table. Even after West Ham putting in a very impressive display against The Foxes at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Chelsea, are fifth in the table one point behind West Ham United, Chelsea have some massive games coming up and their squad will be stretched to the full. Chelsea will play Porto in their second leg tonight lucky for the blues the tie should be as good as done. Chelsea had a massive win against Crystal Palace at the weekend a side that Chelsea have struggled against in the past and then the blues have to take on Manchester City in the FA Cup on Saturday.

West Ham, have the beauty of just having to concrete on the league and having player on fire at the moment including Manchester United loonie Jesse Lingard, who simply can’t stop scoring eight goals in nine appearances. West Ham take on Chelsea at home in the next ten days and that game is simply huge, I think that will be a decider wether Chelsea get into the four or not and indeed wether West Ham stay put in the top four.

Liverpool, play Real Madrid in their second leg of Europe tomorrow evening a game that they are really up against it, even if it is at home, their home form has been awful this year, despite beating Aston Villa at the weekend. Liverpool have some tough games to come and in a lot of ways their destiny is not in their own hands as they don’t play any of the teams above them in the race for the top four. So Liverpool could very well lose out on the top four.

Leicester City, are having the same problem as they had last season, last season they came very close to get that top four football, only to burn out. Unfortunately it’s look similar for Brendan Rodgers and his side. On a good note their last seven games aren’t bad and the destiny in in their own hands again.

Predictions, Chelsea will mange to get into the top four I believe and then West Ham United. I just think Liverpool lack confidence and will fail to beat Manchester United and others that are coming their way. I also think Leicester City won’t have enough to hold on and will slip somewhere along the way.
