Brendan Rodgers named a semi-strong side but it was clear the Foxes were not at full strength, especially after it was confirmed midfielder James Maddison was missing.

Alongside Maddison – Ayoze Perez and Hamza Choudhury were also missing.

It later became clear that the stars had been dropped from Rodgers’ line-up due to poor conduct off the pitch.

Maddison, Perez, Choudhury and the injured Harvey Barnes were all caught partying just hours after their 2-0 defeat against Man City, last weekend.

A recent report from The Sun claims all four footballers were found to be in breach of COVID-19 rules after attending a party at Perez’s home along with 18 others.

It has been reported that the four players all received text messages from their ‘furious’ manager, who had found out what they were up to, telling them to call it a night and go home.

Instead of heeding their gaffer’s advice, the four players then decided to hide in the dark to make it look like no one was home and hop in a taxi to Choudhury’s home, 30 miles away, instead.

A source reportedly told the Sun: “Everyone was having a good time then suddenly the players said to each other ‘Look at your phone’.

“They’d got a message from Brendan. He told them he knew what they were up to and to stop the party immediately.

“They told everyone to hide and switched off all the lights so it looked like no one was home.

“Most guests were young women. They were all drinking and having a laugh then carried on at Hamza’s.”
