WATCH: Shefflin: Galway married intensity and composure to win

Galway and Tipperary lit up the championship with their dazzling semi-final encounter yesterday, and no-one appreciated it more than the former king of hurling, Henry Shefflin.

Jason Flynn, Galway, celebrates with selector Eugene Cloonan after the match.

The Kilkenny legend hailed the match and the outstanding performance of Galway in particular on The Sunday Game.

Ferocious tackling combined with self-control and vision when going for scores – the Tribesman showed both to eventually emerge as winners.

“They brought the intensity, but as well as that they had the composure,” Shefflin said.

“They brought it to another level today, and I think you have to be very impressed.”
