Edinson Cavani was the man of the hour for Manchester United today after the Uruguayan striker made a tremendous impact in the red devils game against Southampton today.
United were trailing 2-0 at half-time after two Southampton set-pieces caught the visitors out and left Solskjaer’s men with a huge mountain to climb in the second half.
The introduction of Cavani at the break turned out to be a stroke of genius by the United manager as the former PSG forward went on to score two goals and provide one assist.
Cavani’s first involvement in the United comeback came in the 59th minute when he assisted on fire Bruno Fernandes with his 5 consecutive goal away from home.
The Uruguayan then netted goals for himself – both headers – in the 74th and 92nd minutes to snatch victory away from Southampton and assure United would be taking all three points back to Old Trafford.
