Virgil Van Dijk’s attire at Liverpool’s 2021/22 kit launch is sure to put a smile on the face of every Reds supporter.
Van Dijk missed virtually the entirety of last season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament during the Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park.
His absence was felt throughout the campaign by Jurgen Klopp’s men, who endured one of the most difficult spells in recent memory – and still managed to finish third.
Van Dijk, left behind by the Netherlands for Euro 2020, will be working on his fitness ahead of the start of the new season, but ahead of that, club media duties were pencilled in.

Van Dijk, a defensive partner of Matip, appears to also be his number one fan, as he’s only gone and worn one of the t-shirts sold by the Twitter account at Liverpool’s 2021/22 kit launch.
If you’ve got a super-fan in the shape of Virgil Van Dijk, you’re clearly doing something right…
