Check out this brilliant footage from the Holy Rosary in Aintree Village where the local priest celebrated Everton’s historic victory over Liverpool during one of his services.

The priest took the opportunity to remind his viewers of Everton’s first victory at Anfield for 22 years by lifting up an Everton scarf at the end of his service.

The clearly proud Everton fan also walked out to the theme from Z-Cars, a song adopted and played by Everton at home matches.

Everton’s victory was just more salt in the wounds of Jurgen Klopp and his men who are having a torrid time at the moment.

The game was Everton’s first victory at Anfield in 22-years and judging by the scenes in the Everton dressing room afterwards, it was very much enjoyed.

The two sides met in the Merseyside derby on Saturday with the Blues coming out victorious after clinching a 2-0 victory.

Scorers on the day were Richarlison who opened the scoring in just the 3rd minute and Gylfi Sigurðssonn who netted from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute.
