The Portuguese midfielder has just shocked the commentators and everyone on the pitch as he struck the ball from distance and it couldn’t be stopped, the ball only seemed to pick up speed in the air and Leno was helpless.
It didn’t take long for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men to capitalize on Arsenal’s red card and the fact they had a man advantage.
Joao clearly spotted a gap in the defence that allowed him to take this long distance shot and there wasn’t enough defenders to stop the ball from going into the back of the net.
Yet another reason for Mikel Arteta to be absolutely fuming with David Luiz after his mistake seems to have cost Arsenal the game.
