News broke just before kick off that Arsenal youngster Martinelli had injured himself in warmup but people couldn’t believe it until this video came out.
You can see the exact moment the 19 year old twists his ankle and it’s not pretty, he immediately collapses to the floor and grips his left leg in agony with teammates and staff left looking on in disbelief at what just happened.
The young Brazilian forward has shown amazing promise and skill and Arsenal fans believe he really is one for the future so it hurts them to see him injured again. Reiss Nelson, who had previously been selected to be on the bench was promoted to the starting XI with Mikel Arteta choosing not to risk starting Gabriel in their FA Cup clash with Newcastle.

Luckily Arteta’s side went on to win the game 2-0 and will progress to the 4th round. Martinelli will be happy to know that he can still feature in further FA Cup matches if his recovery is quick.
