Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson almost gifted Southampton a second goal during their Premier League clash at St.Mary’s after the Liverpool goalkeeper was found in no-mans-land.
Southampton were already winning one-nil thanks to a beautifully taken Danny Ings goal following a Trent Alexander-Arnold mistake in the early stages of the first half.

Lightning almost struck twice as Yan Valery was given a guilt edged chance as he nutmegged Allison – who was miles off his line – and was only prevented from scoring thanks to the tracking back of Jordan Henderson.

Southampton went on to win the game 1-0 which means Manchester United are now top of the Premier League table thanks to their game in hand.
United will play Burnley on Tuesday January 12th and should they secure victory it will see Olé Gunnar Solskjaer’s men go top of the table by three points.
