Danny Ings has scored after a mistake from Trent Alexander-Arnold left him completely free in front of Alisson. Danny was able to put Southampton ahead against his former side with no regrets, Ings was seen smiling and laughing after scoring the goal knowing he was lucky that Trent completely missed the ball.

Danny has found good form when avoiding injury at Southampton and Liverpool fans wont be too upset that it was their former man who scored against them with the Englishman being a fan favourite when playing at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp’s experimental defence with 2 midfielders filling in at centre half seems to have gotten off to a rocky start but will Liverpool be able to claw this back and get some distance between themselves and United in the League?

Can Jurgen Klopp’s men bring it back or will Southampton be able to hold onto the lead given to them in the 2nd minute of the game?
