The 32 year old has announced that he will leave Galway and concentrate on club hurling, one of the greatest hurlers to ever play the game. Joe Canning has the most scores in Championship history, passing out Kilenny’s Henry Shefflin last weekend against Waterford in the qualifiers. What a legacy he will leave the game of hurling and his not finished yet, with Canning hopefully going to play many more years with his club Portumna GAA in Galway.
