Tottenham’s COVID-19 crisis has deepened ahead of their tussle with Rennes tomorrow evening.
News filtered through over the past few days that there was an ongoing situation in North London relating to COVID-19.
Antonio Conte today revealed at his press conference (as is reported by Sky Sports) that there are EIGHT first-team players who have tested positive, as well as five members of the backroom staff.
With Tottenham facing Rennes in a potentially pivotal UEFA Europa Conference League fixture tomorrow evening, their preparations for the fixture could hardly have gone any worse.
According to Football.London reporter Alasdair Gold, Spurs are down to just TEN first-team players for the clash with Rennes. The fans will be dreading what kind of XI they are able to field.

As COVID-19 cases rise across the country, you can’t help but feel as though what is happening at Spurs will soon be replicated elsewhere. It’ll be a concern for all Premier League sides.
In this instance, though, Conte has an uphill task cracking on with his job while his players are dropping like flies and he himself runs the risk of bringing the virus back home to his family.
