Chelsea star “should have retired years ago”, says pundit

The former PSG defender Thiago Silva was simply superb on Sunday against Tottenham Hotspur, the 37 year scored the all important second goal to seal it for the Blues and showed his experience in throwing himself to the ground when he felt the slight push English captain Harry Kane.

Garth Crooks jokes in his team of the week column on BBC Sport that;

“A man of Thiago Silva’s age should have retired years ago. The fact that he’s still playing top-class football at all is a testimony to his fitness and the way he’s looked after himself,”
