We’re seen all the teams on offer at this summers European Championship so far and there have been some very impressive displays from Italy, France, Portugal, England and even Germany although they lost, the Welsh have also looked excellent. So are we any close to knowing who’s going to win it? Not a chance, one thing is for sure though whoever does win the Euro’s is going to have to work their socks off as there’s a lot of quality in this summers Championship.
Have you ever thought, what’s it like to represent your country at the Euro’s? You can see the video here of what some of the previous star of past tournaments felt it was like.
- Welbeck and Lallana on representing England
- Ogbonna on every young footballer’s dream
- Fabianski on lining up for the national anthems
- Carvalho on triumphing with Portugal at Euro 2016
England take on the Scots on Friday evening and it’s a massive game for both sides, if England win they are through to the last 16 and if Scotland lose they are as good as out of the tournament, their first major tournament since 1996 when they also took on England at the old Wembley Stadium.
France look very strong and have the strongest squad at this summers tournament especially after bringing Karim Benzema back into their squad. The 33 year has been tearing it up for Real Madrid for years and simply couldn’t be ignored any longer. The balance in midfield with Kante and Pogba is a joy to behold and the speed up front is deadly. It will take a long to beat the French on their day.
A strong word has to be said for Italy though they are ten wins on the bounce and still have yet to conceded a goal, what a job Roberto Mancini has done with the Azzurri side, the former Manchester City boss came in when Italy were at an all time low having failed to qualify for the World Cup in 2018, something that is unheard of in a football mad country. They are a well organised and well structured side and will take a lot to beat.
France and Italy are really the pick of the bunch so far at this summers tournament and if all goes to plan they two will avoid each other until the final. What a great moment that would be for the people of Italy especially after all that the Italians have been though with Covid 19. There’s still a long way to go though and the Germans, Portuguese and English along with others might well have a say on this summers tournament.
