Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour is bringing the FA Cup home as he bought the original trophy that Man City won in 1904 as they beat Bolton Wanderers 1-0 in the final. According to Sky Sports, the Sheikh spent £760,00 on the piece of history last September and it’s on it’s way home now.

They tweeted a video to commemorate the buying of the trophy and it received some amazing replies but the best reply of all was from the official Emirates FA Cup twitter account. Th FA Cup account tweeted that Man City were the first club in Manchester to win a major trophy, this is a clear dig at Manchester rivals United as their fan base regularly make fun of City fans for their lack of history. This joke came just days after Man City smashed The Reds by 2 goals to nil in United’s home ground of Old Trafford.

Manchester City fans were quick to share the tweet and you can see why, it proves United fans that the club has a deep history and deserves to be at the top.
