A try in the 28th minute for Rónan Kelleher was enough to give Leinster the advantage over Johann van Graan’s men at the break in the Aviva.
The TMO awarded the try after the 22-yeaar-old got in over the line from the back of Leinster’s maul.
Fly-half Johnny Sexton added the conversion to give them a 10 – 3 lead going into the second half.
A penalty from JJ Hanrahan was the visitors’ only appearance on the scoresheet in the opening 40 minutes.
