Liverpool fans and a lot of English fans aren’t happy that Liverpool’s right wing back Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to miss out on the European Championships. England are particularly strong in the right of defence and the competition is fierce, is Gareth Southgate making the right call in letting Liverpool’s number one right back out of their squad?

If Trent Alexander-Arnold doesn't go to Euro 2020, then England must surely be installed as odds-on favourites to win the tournament because if they can afford to omit one of their few truly world-class players, then the rest of the squad must be absolutely brilliant.

If the rumours of Trent not being in the England squad is true, then Southgate is a disgrace.

The strength in depth that England have is crazy, is this finally the summer that England will win a trophy and repeat the last time England won a major trophy in 1966 with Bobby Charlton and the likes.
