The Shakhtar Donetsk CEO has revealed that he gave some advice to Chelsea about the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk in January.
The Blues ruined Arsenal’s plans to sign Mudryk as they brought the 22-year old to Stamford Bridge in a shock move for a Ukrainian record £62million on January 15th.
The winger has only managed one assist in a blue shirt since arriving in London as he takes his time to adapt to a new league, and the Shakhtar Donetsk CEO Serhiy Palkin has revealed exactly what he said to Chelsea when they paid the big bucks for the player.
“I said to them ‘You’ve got a real diamond, but you should be very, very patient with him‘”, Palkin said to Sky Sports.
“Give this guy a little bit of time and he will show what kind of football he will bring to your club.
