The former Munster & Irish out-half was as honest as every in his post match interview “Losers make excuses. We needed to be better and we weren’t good enough.” La Rochelle lost the Champions Cup final against Toulouse on a scoreline of 22 points to 17 at Twickenham Stadium.

What a learning curve that will be for Ronan O’Gara though, the former Munster man has two European Cup medals to his name and lost two finals with his native province. O’Gara will be tipped by many to return to Ireland and be a future Munster or Irish coach. The Cork man seems to be going about it the right way though in going abroad and learning his trade, a lot of Irish fans be hoping the Munster man returns to Ireland sooner rather than later…
