Robbie Brady shouts “I just can’t stop him” to Sean Dyche against Chelsea

Burnley were at the mercy of Chelsea today and their new German boss Thomas Tuchel. Out for blood and willing to impress, Tuchel and his squad went for an attacking display against Sean Dyche’s side and the Burnley defense was helpless.

The most helpless of all it seems was Ireland’s own Robbie Brady who began the game at right midfield but understandably didn’t last the full 90 minutes.

With Chelsea working on overlaps and trying to bring their wide midfielders and full backs into the attack, Burnley’s wingers had to be on top form to break up the play and halt Chelsea’s attack.

It sounds simple in theory but isn’t easy when Chelsea ace and 20 year old forward Callum Hudson-Odoi is running rings around you.

For the first goal Hundson-Odoi floated around the edge of the box before sending a through ball onto the sprinting Azpilicueta who converted past Pope in goal.

Clearly unhappy with this, Sean Dyche tried to give instruction to Brady who then replied.

We’ve all been there, getting styled on by someone younger than you and you’re just helpless.

Brady was then substituted off in the 76′ for Joel Mumbongo with score still at 1-0.

Left back Marcos Alonso then overlapped on Mumbongo’s side for Chelsea’s second goal in the 84′ so Robbie wasn’t the only one at fault today.
