Qatar has come under intense scrutiny in recent months over its beliefs and treatment of homosexuals, as the Germany team attempted to make their feelings known about the matter during the tournament.

The journalist had already had his say on their actions after their match against Japan, saying โYou will come to us, respect our religion, cultures and laws. Other than that, put your hands wherever you want!โ

Now, with last nightโs tweet, the journalist will feel he has one over the Germans, who have just two wins at the World Cup since they were crowned champions in 2014.ย
Japan will now face Croatia on Monday afternoon, while Spain face Group F toppers Morocco on Tuesday.
