Newcastle United and England star Kieran Trippier is facing a huge bill from a strip club, thanks to his pals who left his name on the tab.
According to a report from The Sun, Trippier was stitched up by his pals, who put a massive £9,500 bill for lap dances in his name.
A hefty bill of £9,663.45 was generated under Trippier’s name when his friends at non-league side Gateshead visited the For Your Eyes Only club in Newcastle earlier this month.
The receipt was printed at 4.36am under the name “Tripps”.
The tab included 76 @£100 tokens for personal dances, 38 @ £50 dance tokens, and booze and soft drinks.
A source told the newspaper: “Kieran has visited FYEO before but this bill was run up by some of the lads he knows at Gateshead.
“He wasn’t there. This seems to be their idea of a joke on Kieran.”
Trippier was separated from his long-term partner Charlotte last year, and while he is not a part of the group anymore that racked up the bill, it is clear that he was no stranger to night outs.
The highly experienced England international was linked with a move away from the club in recent transfer windows, but he has stayed on.
This season, he has struggled badly with injuries and has made only 14 starts in the Premier League. He has provided three assists this season, but hasn’t scored.
Trippier has a contract at Newcastle until 2026, and it will be interesting to see if the 34-year-old stays at the club beyond the summer.
