Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has admitted that having a lot of money is part of why Manchester City have enjoyed so much success report the Daily Mail.

Guardiola’s men are on a 19 game win streak and the Spanish manager has said the club’s £2billion spend is the main driver behind their success.

City’s blistering form has them on course to clinch their third Premier League title in four years as the Premier League giants enjoy the best form across all the big leagues in Europe.

Speaking at a press conference Guardiola gave a simple response when asked what the reason for City’s success and he light-heartedly said it was down to having a ‘lot of money’.

Guardiola went on to say that money is a big part but the players on the pitch are the ones getting the results, not the cash: ‘We have a lot of money to buy a lot of incredible players,’

‘It is true. Without good quality players, we cannot do it. The humanity of this group…the players are fantastic and have an incredible relationship. They play every game to think just win that game.

Manchester City now turn their attention to in form West Ham who they will take on this Saturday in the Premier League.

A win for City will be their landmark 20th in a row whereas a victory for the Hammers will guarantee they stay in that coveted 4th Champions League spot.
