Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr has been CANCELLED – here’s why

Posted by

Hasim Rahman Jr has BOTTLED his proposed upcoming fight with Jake Paul, merely a week from fight night.

After Tommy Fury pulled out of his proposed fight with the American social media star, Hasim Rahman Jr stepped in and agreed to save the card.

Sadly, it appears as though he never actually had any appetite to follow through and fight Paul, as was revealed via Twitter on Saturday night.

Paul revealed that, while the pair were initially due to fight at 200lbs, that was subsequently moved up to 205lbs after Rahman Jr struggled with his cut.

Paul agreed to those terms in order to keep the fight alive, but Rahman Jr, a week from fight night, said that they had to fight at 215lbs or he’d pull out.

Needless to say, Paul’s team were never agreeing to that. As a result, the fight has been cancelled and Paul has been left absolutely furious.

You can discredit him and his boxing C.V as much as you like, but the fact is that these ‘actual boxers’ clearly have no interest in fighting him.

  1. Honestly I’d say that jake paul is the one who wanted to call off the fight as he’s just realised that he’ll be the losing fighter in this case
