The OGC Nice man has been sacked after over 2 and a half years in charge of the Ligue 1 side. Nice announced this on twitter today, they got rid of Patrick before the end of the season even though his contract was running out in a few months.

He began managing with New York City and then moved to France to grow his career. He had been taking heavy criticism recently as Nice hit a run of poor form but last nightβs exit from the Europa League was the last straw as they finished 3rd in their group and an amazing 9 points away from progressing to the knockout stages. Last nightβs defeat to Bayer Leverkusen at home was too much for Vieira as his side lost 2-3.
