Patrick Bamford calls out VAR on twitter after game

Patrick Bamford is understandably upset after his side’s loss to Wolves in the Premier League tonight thanks to an incredibly unlucky own-goal from goalkeeper Meslier and a disallowed goal of his own which VAR took issue with.

The Premier League striker looked to have scored a certain goal in the 77th minute of the game and brought it level with just minutes to go but after a VAR review, it was deemed offside by officials which has baffled fans and also Bamford, the player himself.

In a fit of rage after the game Bamford tweeted about the loss and mocked the use of VAR stating

“mAkInG tHe GaMe BeTtEr”

This insult to VAR and official’s decision might come back to bite the Englishman in a way of a ban but does he have a point?

Did VAR get this one wrong, it seems from the image VAR used that Patrick is being played onside by the Wolves defender in the build up to the goal.

What do you think, should the goal have stood?
