Kerry took on Kildare in Newbridge on Sunday and could only manage a draw against the men in white. The final score was Kildare 0-13 to 1-10 and the former Kerry footballer Pat Spillane believes Kerry goto a ‘Reality Check’. Kerry had Jack O’Connor in charge of them for his second spell with the senior team and it will take time for Kerry to get up to speed.

The Kingdom will be a lot of people’s favourites to life the Sam Maguire cup this year, but Sunday they did not look that impressive and the eight time All-Ireland winner didn’t hold back in his assessment.
