Olé Gunnar Solskjaer writes heartwarming letter to United fan suffering with his mental health

It’s been revealed that Manchester United manager Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has written a classy latter to a Red Devils fan who is suffering with his mental health.

The story came about following United supporter Ryan ringing onto talkSPORT where he revealed how Olé Gunnar Solskjaer’s team have lifted him through anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts.

Ryan’s story found it’s way to the club and the Premier League side asked the shows host and fellow United fan Andy Goldstein if they could respond to his him.

Goldstein was happy to oblige and Ryan was back on the show to read out the letter that was sent to him by the United gaffer.

Solskjaer wrote: “Dear Ryan, just wanted to drop you a line to say I am so glad you are doing well. It’s heartwarming to hear that Manchester United and Andy’s Man Club have kept you going through difficult times.

“We are living in strange times at the moment and we know it’s difficult for a lot of people. However, I was delighted to hear you now have a spring in your step.

“Once we get back to normal I’d love to invite you to a match or to watch training. In the meantime, we want you to keep that spring in your step and we will be doing all we can on the field.

“Take care, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.”

Manchester United are currently second in the Premier League, five points behind leaders Man City, as they attempt to clinch the clubs first league title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
