Barcelona fans had plenty to be happy about as their team produced an embarrassing 7-0 annihilation of Gary Neville’s Valencia during their Copa Del Rey semi-final first leg at the Camp Nou last night.
The Catalan fans decided to have a dig at their biggest rivals Real Madrid who were thrown out of the Copa Del Rey for illegally fielding Denis Cheryshev against Cadiz last year when he was actually suspended.
It isn’t often a current Real Madrid player gets a brilliant reception from Barcelona fans, but new Valencia recruit Cheryshev, who is on loan from Los Blancos, was given a sanding ovation by the Nou Camp for inadvertently getting Madrid booted out the Copa del Rey as he was fielded despite being ineligible.

Barcelona are currently top of La Liga and find themselves three points clear of second placed Athletico Madrid with a game in hand.
