Transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano has put to bed any rumours of a potential loan move for out of favour Donny van de Beek.

Romano took to Twitter to quash any speculation the recently signed Dutch midfielder could be loaned out during the January transfer window.

In his Tweet Romano said: ‘Donny van de Beek is not leaving Manchester United on loan. The club never considered this option. He’s 100% staying.’

Van de  Beek joined United on August 30th 2020 from Ajax on a five-year deal worth a reported £35 million plus £5 million in add-ons.

Since his arrival at Old Trafford the 23-year-olds opportunities have been minimal with the midfielder making most of his appearances from the bench.

Such is van de Beek’s lack of game time that Dutch football legend Ronald de Boer warned out of van de Beek to consider moving away from Old Trafford if he cannot be guaranteed first team football.

With Euro 2020 scheduled for this summer first team opportunities are vital for international players who will be hoping to book their place in their countries squad for the tournament.
