Mike Tyson has been disrespected by Canelo Alvarez according to Carl Froch.
Canelo is set to return to the ring on May 4th when he takes on Jaime Munguia, but his decision to take on Munguia frustrated boxing legend, Mike Tyson who accused the pound-for-pound star of ducking David Benavidez.
Tyson said: “Do you not respect the legacy of the great Mexican champions who faced the best regardless of the money?
“This is a shame for boxing and for Mexico. If I were him, I would accept the fight with Benavidez and show the world that he is the best.”

Canelo clearly was angered by ‘Iron Mike’s’ comments and fired back.
Asked if he respects Tyson’s opinion after he called for him to fight Benavidez, the Mexican brutally replied: “I’d respect his opinion if he was sober.”

Speaking to LuckyBlock.com he said: “It sounds disrespectful from Canelo, doesn’t it?
“Mike Tyson’s a retired fighter and an icon of the sport. I don’t believe he ever failed a drug test. Canelo has done that. He failed a drug test due to contaminated meat. It was Mexican beef apparently.
“So, whatever you want to say about Mike Tyson… I just think that if you live in a glass house, don’t throw stones.”
He added: “Canelo Alvarez looks like he’s priced himself out of the Benavidez fight.”
“I don’t think he’d swerve anyone, Canelo. He’s a very confident man but having said that I can’t see him rematching Bivol at any stage soon.”
Tyson did actually fail a drugs test when he tested positive for marijuana after the fight against Andrew Golota
Because of this, his victory against the Polish fighter was overturned and changed to a no-contest.
