RIP Micko, a legend of the GAA
We had great craic with him doing a bit of plumbing in his house in Portlaoise back in 2019 but if the battle to get fixed up was anything like his on pitch battles, I wouldn’t like to have ever marked him 😂 pic.twitter.com/AKn2Ky8NnJ— Michael J Nolan (@mikejnolan911) April 3, 2025
There are no words to describe the influence Micko had on the GAA. He lifted kildare football to highs we dared to dream of. A manager, a mentor, and a friend. Condolences to the O'Dwyer family. RIP Micko pic.twitter.com/p2Fwxm7o8E

Very sorry to hear of the passing of the legendary Mick O’Dwyer. A great player, an iconic manager with an amazing Kerry team while so many of us in Kildare will remain forever grateful for how he changed @KildareGAA
forever. A true loss to the nation. RIP #Micko 🤍💚💛
A true legend, on and off the field.
Absolute privilege to have shared Mick O’Dwyer’s company on a number of occasions, a rogue even in his latter years.
Told me he was lucky to have been born in Kerry, but it was Kerry who was lucky that Micko was born here.
RIP Micko.
Will never be another, Stands way out on his own as the greatest manager the game has seen for me but often over looked that he won 4 all Irelands as a player as well and a player of the year award.
A legend and a gentleman.
RIP Micko
He gave us reason to dream and brought those dreams to life for a very special period in Kildare GAA. Simply the greatest gaelic football manager of all time. RIP Micko.
What a player and manager watched him playing for Kerry down through the years a joy to watch never missed a score RIP Mick 🏐
