Manchester United have matched a unique and impressive record set by Sir.Alex Ferguson’s legendary 1999 treble winning team after their victory in Craven Cottage on Wednesday.

The 1999 United squad will go down in history at Old Trafford as they were the first English side to complete the coveted treble, winning both domestic cups (Premier League and FA Cup) and the UEFA Champions League.

The current Red Devils are quite a bit away from achieving the dizzying heights of the 1999 team but they have equalled an impressive record set by the legendary squad.

Following their victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage The Red Devils have equaled the record for most away games without defeat (17). A record that was originally set by the heroes of 1999.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team have gone 17 consecutive games on the road without defeat, a feat that took 366 days to complete.

The previous record lasted 17 unbeaten games which was set by Fergie’s treble winners in 1999 but their run came to an abrupt end October 1999 when they were heavily beaten heavily by Chelsea, losing 5-0.
